It’s the final major of the 2022 LPGA campaign, and 11 members of #teamcallaway are on site in Evian-Les-Bains, France, to close out the year in Major form.
The Evian Resort (champions Course), which measures just over 6500 yards, will give the players a unique look with its tight driving lines, thick rough, and complicated green complexes.

Keys to winning at Evian Resort:
According to LPGA Rep Barry Lyda, hitting the fairway is paramount. The golf course sits about 1500 feet above sea level, but that number can be deceiving. Yes, the ball will carry a hair more, but with the soft grounds this week, calculations for distance control might not be as pumped up as players would normally see. Practice round intel will be key and the Player/Caddy combo that adjusts the quickest will find success.
Iron play is also an important factor as the greens aren’t crazy challenging if you hit the ball in the proper quadrant. If you start missing greens around The Champions Course it can be a very difficult game of survival.
And of course like any Major on any Tour, Putting will always be on the must-do list. Players will have lots of putts from 6-8 feet and speed control will be essential.

Since it’s a Major, there are not a ton of wholesale changes for our staff, most are ensuring the driver set-up is perfect, and lofts and lies are in order.
Chin Tozar did the bulk of this build work over the past few days and mentioned that this week is more of a game of solidifying what you have rather than trying to add a new variable.
