I was there when that fun “aha” moment happened. I was in Scottsdale with Jon for a testing session (video coming) and we got around to the 4-iron. JR who has been in his normal TCB 4-iron since he started with us was happy with his set up. BUT every once in a while a small tweak can really provide benefit.
I asked him “if there was anything he could make better for that part of the bag what would it be?”

I then pushed over the new Apex Pro 4-iron (23 loft, PX 6.5, +1/2, D3, 61 lie) and boom. He kept making swing after swing (in silence) which is a marker for enjoyment with him.
The numbers don’t lie and some were unreal…

This is a case where with a player like Jon Rahm, it’s in the nuance that counts. He’s right in the hunt at the BMW and has ripped the new stick a few times on the Par 5s.
