We are at Royal Liverpool for the 151st playing of The Open Championship. The Callaway Europe crew was led by Pete Harrison (Head of Sports Marketing), Ian Garbutt (Tour Manager) Performance Reps Scott Pudney and Jason Eilerd, Tour Tech Paul Monks, and Odysseys Seamus Sweeney. On the US side Tour Head Jacob Davidson, Tour Rep Kellen Watson and the Goat Roger Cleveland.
It’s been an incredible week and I’m jacked up to watch some golf LIVE this weekend.

It’s not an Open unless you see Thors Hammer. I love this thing. This is the OG FYI, all the famous shots are with this one. There is another one he has but this is “The Chosen One” .Probably the lowest torque Tour shaft that got a ton of action. Sam Burns landed on this X21 UT (39.5, 60. Lie, 18 degrees, D4) w/ a Fujikura Ventus Blue 10X Hybrid. He hits this around 240 off the floor at roughly 3600RPM spin. My favorite Callaway Irons of ALL TIME. This set is on its last leg….…no worries though….there are still 3 sets left in circulation. Nicolai Hojgaard will be giving this BEAUTIFUL Le Mans with TT a spin after this week. Off all the driving irons I saw this week, this is my favorite. Rasmus and his Rogue ST Pro (19.5, 39 EOG, 60.5, D3) with a KBS C-Taper 120S. This set up with the hot face and higher launch gives Rasmus PERFECT spin windows to hit it high and the low knee high fastballs. Interesting story on this head that I will explain someday soon…it’s pretty amazing. This is a back-up/Test head.
