One more week to Pinehurst and #teamcallaway was at the BRUTAL Muirfield Village for the elevated Memorial Tournament.
The week was made even more special with an activation we did with Birdies for the Brave, where a local Callaway fitter dialed in four US Veterans as a thank-you for making everything we do possible. I have a great respect and gratitude for our Armed Forces, all of this golf stuff is fun but without them, we got nothing.
In addition to the fitting, we launched the limited edition Ai-Smoke Tactical drivers that KILLED on Social Media and online damn near selling out in hours.
For #teamcallaway, we had a full truck with Tour Manager Joe Toulon, Tour performance rep Kellen Watson, Callaway Next Rep Matt Haneline, Nick Yontz from Tour R&D, Tour Tech Greg Shaw, and Odysseys Cody Hale.
Now really quickly, we did do some proto testing this week…actually a TON. Nothing I can show you at the moment but I will say that I think Sam Burns is VERY close to putting an Ai-Smoke in the bag:) He also tested a THROWBACK style 3-wood that will probably see some actions as well. Soon we will discuss more.

You can buy Xanders putter now:)
My word these are cool…
Akshay has some new wedges in play…
Shay also put some new Apex TCB Raws in the bag…the old set was was finally put to rest as the grooves were worn down and he was starting to catch some flyers. The old set made it almost two years…it was time. The kid is nostalgic, what can you do?
Sam Burns reshafted his Ai-Smoke TD 3-wood with an MCA Tensei 1k Black (Steel Pole) 75TX shaft. The story here is with the previous set up the ball was floating too much on him causing ball speed and carry to dip from time to time. Sam has a unique relationship with 3-woods, where most players are looking for spin, he needs loft and a VERY stiff profile to keep spin down in the 3000 range to hold it on line with all shot shapes. The 1K Black doesnt move at all so it allows him to go after it when he needs to and if he has to float one out there hes not sacrificing anything flight wise. He. mitigates the lower spin with launch (12-13 degrees on average) and ball speed (168-172MPH).
Swag and a Tour Truck walk around for our Warriors…

Another player moving into the 2024 TCB’s. When are we going to see these available for retail?
