Zurich Classic TOUR TRUCK REPORT

In my humble opinion, Team Events whether they are a Ryder Cup, Walker Cup, Member-Guest or anything in between are always a good time. This week we are at TPC Louisiana for the Zurich Classic and its #TeamSZN!! From an equipment standpoint, it’s a mellow week but we do have a ton of staffers in the field. Rahmbo, Xander, Dylan, Gooch, Wallace, Willet, and a bunch more.

On site we had Kellen Watson, Johnny Thompson, Dean Teykl and Simon Wood

Lots of 💎💎💎 testing going down in prep for the summer swing and Xander gives us a sneak peek at (what might be) the new fairway 🔥

Tom Lewis who has been playing our Epic Speed (STD) was testing an Epic Speed 💎💎💎 DS (Draw Bias, 9@10.3, 45.5 inches, tipped 1, D3) with a Fujikura Ventus Blue 6X Proto CV

Xander Schauffele is testing a prototype 💎💎💎 5-wood which has been tweaked a bit (see chef ticket) to match his Mavrik SZ 4-wood he’s had in play the last few weeks. The new stick is equipped with a Graphite Design AD DI (Black) 8X

To compare to Epic Speed FW, the 💎💎💎 has 2 weights (back and front), a similar shape, slightly deeper face, full face scoring lines and no top crown alignment aid.

Dylan Frittelli didn’t make any changes this week but will be testing wedges and an Epic Speed Max LS (9@8.1, 9GF) with two different shafts made up, Fujikura Ventus Black 6X and Graphite Design Tour AD IZ 6TX (46 Inches, Tipped .5) in his coming off weeks. Simon Wood built up four new wedges for Dylan to test, a 56/10S, 56/12X, 60/08T, and 60/10S all with the C Grind shaping that Dylan prefers. All of the wedges have Nippon Pro Modus3 105X shafts.

Talor Gooch who has been in out Epic Speed 💎💎💎 (STD) all season wanted to bring down his spin numbers a bit and swapped into the TD LS head (9@8.3, 9GF, 9GB). The new low spin hammer has the exact same setup as his previous gamer and comes shafted up with a Fujikura Atmos Blue 7X (45 Inches, Tipped 1, D4).

Erik van Rooyen will take home an Epic Speed Max LS 8.5* as a backup to his trusted Epic Flash (10.5, Flat Cog, N/S) gamer. EVR has been in the MCA Diamana DF 70TX for some time.
