This was a fun exercise in nostalgia, research, debate, and an open mind. It would be easy to pick my favorite bag to cover on TOUR, but what about breaking it down piece by piece and building the All Callaway Team WITB? So… without further ado…

BALL: Chrome Soft X
Why?
Rahm, Phil, Burns, and a bunch of wins….that’s why. Chrome Soft X became THE ball on TOUR, historically winning two Major Championships and being used by the World #1. Case Closed.
DRIVER: Phil’s Epic Speed “PM Proto”
Why?
It went in play officially the week of the PGA, and, for that week, it gave him the confidence and the horsepower to fend off the field and hit a few NASTY bombs coming down the back 9.
3-Wood: Jon Rahm’s Epic Speed 💎💎💎T
Why?
Honestly? It’s just really cool to look at, and on top of that, the fact it was designed around the whims of one player makes it even cooler. That’s it.
5-wood/7-wood: Xander’s Mavrik SZ 7-wood
Why?
I was going to go with the UW on this one, but frankly, I saw the X-man hit so many unreal shots with this thing off the tee, into par 5’s, etc. The answer was undeniable.
Irons: Sam Burns TCB’s
Why?
This is more of a comment on the TCB in general; it’s the best players Cavity Back that Callaway has ever made, and I’m fairly certain that they are so good that our Tour Team is going to have their hands full getting them out of the bag when a new model comes out. 🤷🏻♂️
Wedges: Phil’s PM Protos
Why?
In my opinion, these clubs won him the PGA Championship and 4 of 6 on the Champions Tour. They are and always will be Lefty’s ultimate Get Outta Jail Free Cards…I can’t add much more on them as they are Phil Proto’s, but when you set them down, you can literally see his mind played out into a golf club. It’s nuts.
