It was an incredible week in South Carolina!! Congaree is a hidden oasis that sits literally in the middle of nowhere. Surrounded by forest and farmland, if you didn’t have GPS, you wouldn’t even know it was there. It’s simply an incredible property, and the players LOVE it.

Kiz was looking to get a but more height and yardage throughout the set. He has also been experimenting with softer shafts at home to get some “kick” as he puts it. Cool little nugget here, Kiz plays 60 lie throughout the set. Leading edge relief as well. Kiz likes a bit more bounce in his irons. The Nippon Pro Modus3 LSL Proto is softer in the handle, stiff in the middle, and stiff in the tip. Kiz went from Nippon 120TX into a stiff flex for a more responsive feel. The TX VS S aspect isn’t necessarily a stiffness thing; it’s more about finding something that will deliver the proper dynamic loft at impact. Some parts that are stiff in the tip won’t kick properly for certain players, and that will actually add loft. By far the stiffest, heaviest build I have seen to date.
